Celebrating Moments
of Strength with Brawny
®

The Brawny® brand is rooted in the idea of strength and resilience—the qualities it promises in its paper towels and champions in its consumers when facing adversity or challenges. That “strength of character” ethos was something I had the opportunity to explore through creative content over the years. One of my proudest efforts involved suggesting and creating a timely Pride post in 2016 following the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando. Up to this point, the Brawny® brand had been noticeably conservative when acknowledging its LGBTQ consumers, but I saw an opportunity for the brand to demonstrate how their message of strength and resilience could extend to this community when it mattered most.

 

In this same vein, I also wrote for their #STRENGTHHASNOGENDER campaign celebrating the notable achievements of several female pioneers during Women’s History Month and for a social video series highlighting the smaller, but no less significant personal challenges faced by "everyday heroes" from all walks of life.
