Staying Creative Beyond Copy

From a very early age, I was making art from whatever I could get my hands on—ink and paper, tempera paint, scraps of fabric and, eventually, my father's 35mm Minolta. I especially loved the process of capturing and creating images with a camera, an interest I continued to explore as a Studio Art major in college. My experience during that time was invaluable, pulling all of my creative impulses into focus with a solid understanding of fundamental design tenets shared by all visual media. Those basic principles I learned about color, form and composition still guide my efforts to this day, whether I'm capturing original imagery for my clients or myself. Along the way, I've exhibited some of my figurative work at fine art galleries—with one show that led to meeting Sir Elton John, an avid photography collector, following his purchase of four of my prints.
